New Delhi: PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has today moved the Supreme Court to put an end to the amendments in the law to allow ‘jallikattu’. The Supreme Court had earlier struck down the practice by terming it illegal and unconstitutional to which the Tamil Nadu Assembly had staged a hearing and over threw the rule by claiming the bull taming sport comes under the category of traditional and cultural practice. PETA in its fresh new plea had challenged the court to witness the event as perpetuate cruelty.
