Thiruvananthapuram : A remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) of the Indian Navy, Searcher-II UAV, crashed on Tuesday while taking off at the Southern Naval Command at Kochi in kerala. The aircaraft was part of the kochi- based Indian Naval Air Squadron 342. The mishap took place at around 10.25 am, reports said. The Searcher – II UAV aircraft was on a routine surveillance mission when it crashed while taking off from the North of Naval airfield at Wellington Island. No damaged to life or property was reported. A board of inquiry is constituted to investigate the cause of accident.
