For the first time since the 'Doctor Who' series came out back in the 1950’s, the doctor has been chosen with a female lead. Jodie Whittaker has been chosen as the new doctor. Having played alongside David Tenant (10th Doctor) in Broadchurch, the 35 year old actress wil dawn one of the most iconic roles in TV series history. Whovians all over the world expressed their thrill for the announcement in various social media. Speculations were going strong on who will replace Peter Capaldi as the 13th doctor and BBC1 announced the lead soon after the proceedings of Wimbledon finals came to a close. We can see the female lead in this year’s Christmas special.
