In addition to the two plastic shredder units established at Muttathara, a further two have also been planned at Peroorkada and Palayam. Trivandrum Corporation also aims to fix a date every month where plastic waste will be collected from the public. Around 140 tons of plastic was collected through a similar drive two months back. We can all expect a capital city completely plastic free in the coming months.
