Bengaluru : With the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) one-two percentage points to GDP growth is reported by Reuters poll. Even though there was a steady decline in the beginning of the year due to demonetization it is expected that India's economy is expected to expand 7.3 percent in the fiscal year ending March 2018.

Even though that is a downgrade from the previous poll's forecast of 7.5 percent, it is better than the International Monetary Fund's projection of 7.2 percent. The general improvement of the competitiveness of exporters and in the ease of operating in India will also add to the increase in GDP.
