New Delhi : Accordig to the reports, India is all set for its First Runway on a Sea Bridge, as the Airport Authority Of India, shown green flag to extend Lakshadweep's  Agatti Airport by building an R C C platform on the beach and shallow sea. This new decision was taken after dropping AAI’s previous plan of linking two adjacent islands for the purpose of extending the runway. The entire project is expected to cost about Rs 1,500 crore. Agatti could be India's first runway-on-sea bridge as the same was considered for two more airports, Juhu airport in Mumbai and Kullu, but was not found suitable for those places.
