Junior Doctors Withdrawn Strike On Health Minister's affirmation

Thiruvananthapuram : The strike by junior doctors in  protest, to the decision of  the increase in the pension age of doctors, has been settled by the Health Minister KK Shailaja's assurance. The Junior Doctors asked for an increase in the posts,as if  new posts are not created parallel to  the increase of pension age, it will be difficult for the young doctors to enter the job.

According to the datas, it was expected that 44 of senior doctors retire this year and 14 next year. Because of the new decision, those who was supposed to retire will be holding back. The Minister gave assurance that steps has been taken by the government to resolve this issue and have also taken a more concrete decision as per the Association Agreements. She also assured  that 175 new posts will be created in the medical education sector and there will be no need for new employees to halt as it has nothing to do with the  retirement of the elderly and more posts will be made available to those who want to join the government service  after doing Post Graduation,as a part of the Ardram Mission .
