India win 1 silver, 2 bronze at asia - para cycling championship

The Indian team won a silver medal and two bronze medals at the Asian Para-Cycling Championships held in Naypidaw. Last year’s silver medalist Diviji Shah repeated his silver-winning performance while BSF soldier Harinder Singh won bronze adding to his bronze from last year. New entrant Madhu Bagri, meanwhile, won bronze in hand –cycling.
“It is a matter of immense pride for me and the whole contingent to have once again made the country proud at the continental championship. The rich haul of medal here in Myanmar not only shows our zeal to become a power-house in the field of para-cycling but allows us to show our mettle to the world,” Daivij Shah, who started off as an armature cyclists to beat the Bangalore traffic said after the podium ceremony.
