Thiruvananthapuram : An Anonymous telephone caller issued a death intimidation to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The police have registered a case and initiated probe. Following the death Intimidation, the security of the Chief Minister has been strengthened.
It is reported that police officials are interrogating the person who threatened to kill the Chief Minister over phone. Meanwhile, police refused to disclose the details of the person. According to reports CPM Kannur District Secretary P Jayarajan received a phone call from an anonymous person who made death to against Pinarayi Vijayan .The incident took place on Saturday around noon.
P Jayarajan immediately contacted the Chief Minister’s office. CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and northern region DGP Rajesh Diwan. State Police chief Loknath Behera has ordered for an immediate probe. Police High Tech Cell has traced the phone call and found that it was made from Kannur. It is reported that police nabbed the phone call and found that it was made from Kannur. It is reported that police nabbed the phone caller on Saturday itself. Police beefed up security of Chief Minister’s official residence Cliff House and AKG centre at Thiruvananthapuram.
“Police have taken the intimidation against Chief Minister as a serious issue and the probe is progressing,” said Chief Minister’s private secretary MV jayarajan.
