Breaking Rules; 7 Indian wrestlers suspended

Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) suspended seven wrestlers for one year after they were found guilty of flouting age limit and representing a different state, without obtaining a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parental state. The wrestlers banned by WFI were of different weight categories. Manjeet (130 kg), Meenu (50 kg), Santosh Yadav (55 kg), Sumit Malik (61 kg), Virender (71 kg), Deepak Kumar (70 kg) and Sumit Kumar (97 kg) were found guilty of the charges., had their suspension commenced from February 2018.
