Thaliparambu: The CPM is all set to deal with the Keezhattoor protestors who are protesting against the construction of the national highway bypass through Keezhattoor village in Kannur district. The CPM plans to conduct a mass protest march’ under the banner ‘Protect the village’ on Saturday to Keezhattoor. The march will be inaugurated by M V Govindan.Vayalkili is gearing up for a bigger stir on Sunday and stage a march towards Keezhattoor, which will witness the third phase of the agitation against the bypass project. The march will be held by calling all activists from all area committees in Taliparambu. A public convention will be held after the march. The CPM clarified that the stir planned on Saturday is not to counter the Keezhattoor march and hence we have named it as ‘Protect the village’

The CPM was of the opinion that by destroying the protest pandal and setting it on fire and laying stones for the bypass project will settle the issue. But several outifts have extended support to the Vayalkilikal protest and hence the CPM was forced to organize a parallel stir to counter that. PWD minister G Sudhakaran said the stir in Keezhattoor was conducted by VayalaKazhukanmar( vultures)  and not vayalkilikal (birds of the field).
