Two Asian workers died when a massive mound of sand collapsed on them as they were digging a well in a residential zone in Ras Al Khaimah. The Ras Al Khaimah Police and Civil Defence pulled out the bodies of the two men - aged 25 and 28 - from the collapsed well, said Captain Mohamad Ali Al Nuaimi, acting director of Al Ma'moura police station. The police received information about the accident at 10.30am. A search and rescue team swung into action. It rushed to the site immediately and used special tools to extricate the bodies from the 20-metre-deep well.An investigation is under way to ascertain the reason behind the accident.
