Turkish, Russian Prez discuss JCPOA over phone

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, discussed the prospects of the  Iran nuclear deal on , over a phone call.This comes after the US withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on May 8.Both the leaders reached a consensus that the JCPOA is a diplomatic success that must be safeguarded.They reached this conclusion as JCPOA according to them is vital for international and regional security, as well as for global nonproliferation.The nuclear deal was signed between six countries in 2015 - Iran, US, Britain, Germany, Russia,France and China for lifting economic sanctions on Tehran in exchange for limitations to the country's nuclear programme.
