Pirlo Bids Farewell

Italian maestro Andrea Pirlo played his final football match with a host of legends from all over the world. The champions that graced the field included Paolo Maldini, Gianluigi Buffon, Roberto Baggio, Frank Lampard and many others. There was no lack of coaching talent as Carlo Ancelotti lead the 'White Stars' team and Juventus's Massimiliano Allegri lead the 'Blue Stars' team. The 39-year-old received a standing ovation from 50,000 fans as he made way for his son Nicolo, who plays for Juventus's youth team also as a midfielder. Pirlo also told how he could one day return to the pitch as a coach. Pirlo had an illustrious career having the 2006 World Cup, two Champions League titles and six Serie A trophies to his name.
