BJP Announces Vasundhara Raje as CM face for Rajasthan Polls

New Delhi: BJP chief Amit Shah on saturday announced Vasundhara Raje as party's chief ministerial candidate for forthcoming Rajasthan assembly Elections. Speaking at the concluding session of the BJP's state working committee meeting in Jaipur,nShah asserted, "The assembly election will be contested under her leadership and she will again become the chief minister with a thumping majority."

Referring to other state Assembly  polls, scheduled to be held later this year,Shah stated the BJP will once again form governments in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

He also asked party workers to remain dedicated and work hard to ensure that the BJP retains power in the state and also wins the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, media quoted a press statement.

Earlier in the day, Shah arrived in Jaipur and hold meeting with the party leaders and workers to review the preparations for the upcoming assembly and 2019 Lok Sabha polls. CM Vasundhara Raje, party's state chief Madan Lal saini and other welcomed Shah at the sanganer airport.

A large number of party workers were present outside the airport and six other points on way to Totuka Bhawan, where meetings took place. During the meetings, the BJP chief reportedly accused the Congress of playing 'negative politics'.
