Tamil Nadu CM names lion cub at Zoo after Jaya Lalitha

Chennai : A lion cub Tamil nadu's Vabdalur Zoo was named 'Jaya'- after late chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha. Chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami named the lion club after the late AIADMK supremo as she was always known as a lioness a lady with the iron first.

E Palaniswami has named another male cub Vishnu. The chief minister was in Vandalur Zoo to inaugurate two enclosures for Royal Bengal tigers. He also inaugurated a play area for children inside the zoo. The new area was put together at a cost of Rs 27 lakh and is situated near the entrance of the zoo. As the chief minister was there, he also took part in the State Zoo Authority meeting which takes place twice a year highlighting the various achievements and requirements of the zoo.
