Asian Games 2018; Sindhu Wins, Saina Loses

Jakartha: The Indian women badminton team is out of the medal race in the 2018 Asian Games as they lost 1-3 to Japan in the Women's Team quarter-final event in Jakarta on Monday. In the five-match contest, four games were enough to decide the fate of the contest. Out of the four games, only PV Sindhu was able to win as she defeated Akane Yamaguchi 21-18, 21-19. In the other single, Nozomi Okuhara beat Saina Nehwal 21-11, 23-25, 21-16 as Japan advanced to the semi-finals.
