New Delhi: The water level will be kept 2 to 3 feet below the permissible limit at the Mullaperiyar dam, the Supreme Court has said. The current water level is at 139.998 feet. Responding to the Kerala government's affidavit, Tamil Nadu said that this is a clever device to get out of the SC judgment which fixed the permissible level to 142 feet. TN further added that it sees seeds of discord in the Kerala affidavit. The court said that everything has been settled and its focus now would be only on disaster management and dam maintenance. Further hearing on the matter has been fixed for September 6.
