Kochi: Malayalam Actor Dileep has been refused bail yet again the High Court today with the prosecution taking the same view that he may influence witnesses in the case if freed. His counsel suggested that Dileep bail is crucial to the fortunes of the film industry because with he is involved in production, distribution and exhibition of movies and not just acting. This argument however backfired when the prosecution accepted that Dileep is indeed an important personality and therefore highly influential. While dismissing Dileep bail plea again, the single-judge bench observed. There does not appear to be any substantial change of circumstances. Having considered the entire facts, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage”. The actor has been behind bars for 50 days now and is most likely to stay there during the Onam festival and probably beyond.
