India whitewash South Africa in a Test series for the first time in history

Ranchi: India defeated South Africa by an innings and 202 runs in the third Test at the JSCA stadium in Ranchi on Tuesday to clinch the three-match series 3-0. This is the first time India have registered a series whitewash against South Africa in Test cricket history. Further, India have now won six Test matches in a row on home soil.

South Africa were all out for 132 in their second innings as the final two wickets taken by Shahbaz Nadeem fell without adding any runs to the overnight total.

South Africa were all out for 162 in the first innings after India declared at 497 for 9 in their first essay.
