Apple's next-generation AirPods with the noise-cancellation feature have long been under development but there hasn't been any official confirmation from the tech giant about its launch. Now a new report has emerged that suggests that the upcoming AirPods will be launched with moniker AirPods Pro later this month. The report suggests that AirPods Pro may cost as high as $260 which is roughly Rs 18,400 in Indian currency.
If the latest report is believed to be true then we are not far from the launch of Apple's next-generation AirPods. While considering the rumoured features, the device will most likely go up against the likes of Amazon Echo Buds that also come equipped with noise-cancellation support. The AirPods Pro is said to get a new metal in-ear design with noise-cancellation support. It might come with a slightly redesigned charging case to befit the new build and design. Its price is expected to be much higher due to the major upgrade in design.
Recently 9to5Mac had discovered a glyph in iOS 13.2 beta that recommended that the AirPods may look very similar to its old in-ear headphones. There could be a noise-cancellation feature which will be called 'focus mode'. The AirPods could also get reduced ambient sound. Previous rumours have suggested that the new AirPods will be water-resistant too.
With the launch of AirPods Pro, the competition of wireless earbuds will grow stiff in the market as Google has already unveiled its second-generation truly wireless Pixel Buds for $179 and Microsoft is on the way to unveil their version later this year.
