NewDelhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heatwave conditions will be at their peak on Tuesday over the plains of northwest India, central India and adjoining interior parts of eastern India. The IMD added that the hot spell is very likely to prevail over these areas till May 28.
The India Meteorological Department has asked citizens to keep themselves hydrated during the heatwave amid coronavirus pandemic. It has urged people to wear lightweight cotton clothes and avoid going out. Keep separate towels for each member of the house, it further advised. Avoid cooking during peak hours and do not go out barefoot, it further said.
