Following the demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput at the age of 34, Chennai Super Kings tweeted, "Still reeling in shock. Terribly unfair." CSK also shared a picture showing Sushant in a still from 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', writing, "A finish we never expected. Rest in Peace, Sushant Singh Rajput." Sushant committed suicide at his Bandra residence.

Condoling the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, PM Narendra Modi tweeted, "Sushant Singh Rajput...a bright young actor gone too soon." PM Modi added, "He excelled on TV and in films. His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances. Shocked by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and fans."

Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Sunday condoled the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. "Your movies brought joy to millions of fans like me, I join them in expressing my shock and condolences," Thakur tweeted. "As a cricket fan, I'll fondly remember your role in [MS Dhoni]. Your success was testimony to your grit and hard work," he further wrote.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday condoled the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. "We are deeply saddened by [his] tragic passing away...Our condolences to his family, loved ones and all those who admired his work," the Aam Aadmi Party tweeted. The actor committed suicide at his Mumbai residence. 

Condoling the demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, "He loved me so much...I will miss him so much...His energy, enthusiasm and his full happy smile." Director, producer and writer Anubhav Sinha tweeted, "Shut up that you can’t believe it", after actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at the age of 34 in Mumbai. "Each one of us has that one good friend at least. Lean on. Reach out. It is okay to talk and ask for a hug," the director said in another tweet.

Reacting to Sushant Singh Rajput committing suicide aged 34, filmmaker Karan Johar wrote on Instagram, "I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year." He added, "I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with...but somehow I never followed up on that feeling...will never make that mistake again."

Reacting to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, Team India captain Virat Kohli tweeted, "Shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput. This is so difficult to process." He added, "May his soul RIP and may god give all the strength to his family and friends." Sushant was found hanging at his residence in Bandra.

Ekta Kapoor has shared over a week-old post and chat with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on Instagram, and wrote, "Not fair sushi! One week everything changed." In the post, Kapoor said her team convinced the channel about casting Rajput as lead in 'Pavitra Rishta' saying his "smile would win million hearts", to which the actor had replied, "Forever grateful."

Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday mourned the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput who committed suicide at his Mumbai residence at the age of 34. "He was from my city Patna. Remember meeting him in Rashtrapati Bhawan during oath-taking ceremony last year," tweeted Prasad. "He had miles to go. He left too soon," the minister added.

Reacting to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committing suicide at the age of 34, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan recalled his last chat with the late actor, stating he had praised Sushant for his work in 'Kedarnath'. "His reply was 'Bhai please do watch Chhichhore, you will love it!'," said Irfan. "My heart goes out for his family," he added.

Several celebrities including Smriti Irani, Anupam Kher, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Sushant Singh Rajput, who committed suicide. "I've no words, no understanding of why you left the way you did...You had come a long way and had many more miles to go...gone too soon," Irani tweeted. "My dear Sushant...why?" asked Kher.

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in his last Instagram post shared days ago, had remembered his late mother. "Blurred past evaporating from teardrops. Unending dreams carving an arc of smile. And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two...#Ma," he had written. 

Following the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Abhishek Trimukhe, DCP Zone 9, Mumbai, said, "He died apparently due to hanging." "But police can tell the exact cause of his death only after receiving post mortem report," the official added. He further said police have not found anything suspicious yet.
