India, China don't need outside help to solve issues: Russia

Commenting on Galwan Valley face-off, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said India and China don't need any help from outside to solve issues between them. Russia hopes the situation will continue to be peaceful and the countries will remain committed to peaceful resolution of disputes, he added. Lavrov made the remarks during a virtual meeting of Foreign Ministers of Russia-India-China.

Following the Russia-India-China (RIC) virtual meeting at the Foreign Ministers level on Tuesday, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, "We support India's candidacy as a permanent member of UN Security Council (UNSC)." Last week, India was elected as a non-permanent member of UNSC, with its two-year term set to begin in January next year.
