Bangaluru authorities collect ₹67L in fines over face masks, social distancing

Bengaluru: Bengaluru's civic body BBMP, along with police and health officials, has collected ₹67.04 lakh in fines from 31,740 people for not wearing masks and 1,800 people for not following social distancing amid coronavirus spread. City authorities have booked 118 commercial establishments for not maintaining social distancing. BBMP has fixed a fine of ₹200 for not wearing masks in public places.
