Geneva: WHO chief Tedros Ghebreyesus today said there are too many countries which are headed in the wrong direction as far as coronavirus pandemic is concerned. "The virus remains public enemy number one...but the actions of many governments and people don't reflect this," he added. "Mixed messages from leaders are undermining the most critical ingredient of any response: trust," he stated.
Ghebreyesus has said, "There will be no return to old normal for the foreseeable future." "But there is a roadmap to a situation where we can control COVID-19 and get on with our lives," he added. "No matter where a country is in its epidemic curve, it's never too late to take decisive action," he stated.
