Rajasthan to become the 1st state to make mask compulsory by law: CM

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot on Monday tweeted that the state government is going to enact a law today to make masks compulsory in the state. He wrote, "Rajasthan will be the first state in the country to enact a law on the necessity of masks for protection against coronavirus, as masks are the only vaccine to protect against the virus." 

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot on Monday said that he has issued directions to ban the sale of firecrackers amid COVID-19. He added that the directions have been issued in order to "protect the health of COVID-19 infected patients and general public from poisonous smoke emanating from firecrackers". He further said that action will be taken against vehicles without fitness certificate.
