No lockdown in Delhi, 3rd wave of COVID-19 has passed its peak: Jain

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has said there will be no reimposition of lockdown in Delhi. "I don't think it will be an effective step now, wearing of masks by everyone will be more beneficial," he added while stating that the third wave of COVID-19 has passed its peak in Delhi. Active coronavirus cases in Delhi currently stand at 39,990.

India has reported the lowest daily COVID-19 cases in four months with 30,548 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the data from the Health Ministry. The country's total cases rose to 88,45,127 while the death toll mounted to 1,30,070 with 435 more deaths. The number of active cases stands at 4,65,478.
