Delhi govt declares November 20 as public holiday on account of Chhath Puja

NewDelhi: The Delhi government on Tuesday announced that November 20 has been declared as a public holiday on account of the Chhath Puja. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has banned community celebrations of Chhath Puja at public places like river banks, temples, ghats in view of the coronavirus pandemic.

House to house survey will be done in Delhi containment zones: NITI Aayog

NITI Aayog member VK Paul on Tuesday said house to house survey will be done in containment zones in Delhi. "This will also be done in other vulnerable zones," Paul added. "There are 3,500 ICU beds available in Delhi currently. It will be increased to 6,000 in next few days," he further said.
