NewDelhi: The police used tear gas shells to disperse protesting farmers on the Haryana-Delhi border as they were marching towards the national capital for the 'Delhi Chalo' agitation. Five sand-laden trucks and a water cannon have also been deployed at the border. Thousands of farmers are marching towards Delhi to protest against the Centre's farm laws.

Protests erupt in Rohtak after farmer part of 'Dilli Chalo' march dies in accident

Protests erupted in Rohtak today after a 45-year-old farmer, part of 'Dilli Chalo' march, died in a road accident. The Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU Dakaunda) alleged that the mishap occurred due to the hurdles set by the Haryana government to stop the march. Two farmers were also injured in the accident after a loaded trolley and farmer's tractor collided.
