8,100 Delhi healthcare workers to get COVID-19 vaccine today

As many as 8,100 healthcare workers in Delhi are all set to get vaccinated against the coronavirus infection on Saturday. Delhi received around 2.74 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses from Centre which will innoculate approximately 1.2 lakh healthcare workers in the national capital. CM Arvind Kejriwal will visit Lok Nayak Hospital on Saturday to inspect the vaccination drive.

Global coronavirus death toll exceeds 20 lakh mark

The death toll from coronavirus across the world rose to over 20 lakh, according to Johns Hopkins University tracker. The US has reported the highest coronavirus deaths globally at over 3.9 lakh, followed by Brazil at 2,08,246 and India at 1,51,918, the tracker showed. COVID-19 has killed more people than malaria and tuberculosis combined in the past year.
