Delhi reported 220 fresh COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the highest single-day rise in February so far, taking the caseload to 6,38,593, according to official data. The positivity rate stood at 0.34%, while no new death was reported due to the coronavirus infection. The number of active cases has risen to 1,169 and 536 people are under home isolation.
Telangana HC asks state govt to resume daily COVID-19 bulletin
Two days after Telangana's Public Health Director replaced daily COVID-19 bulletin with a weekly update, state High Court asked the government to resume daily bulletins within 24 hours from the order. Court directed the authorities to update tests and vaccination details on the state health portal. Report on steps taken to combat fresh wave of COVID-19 was also sought.
Rajasthan government on Thursday announced that people arriving from Maharashtra and Kerala will need to produce a negative RT-PCR test on arrival to be allowed entry into the state. The decision was taken in a review meeting chaired by CM Ashok Gehlot. It was also decided that an awareness campaign will be run from March for the COVID-19 vaccination.
