The black-browed babbler that was thought to be extinct as it hadn't been spotted in 170 years, has been found in an Indonesian forest. Ornithologists first described the muted black, grey and chestnut-brown bird around 1850 after the collection of the one and only known specimen of the species. It was recently spotted by members of a Bornean bird-watching group.
