Tata motors invests INR 28,000 crore in JLR; domestic biz in FY22

India's popular motor Tata motors will be investing for this fiscal pegged at INR 28,900 core, mostly for it's British arm Jaguar Land Rover company chairman N Chandrashekaran revealed on Friday.

As well the company will looking into raise capital separately for it' electric vehicles with in an appropriate time.

The company itself having looking to 25 percent of it's sales medium to long term, up from 2 percent at now, he said while he addressing the company's virtual AGM.

Replying to query from company's share holder he said ,"for FY 21 it was having INR 19,800 crore. Basically 2.5 pounds for JLR on an annual basis and INR 3000 crore to INR 3,500 crore for Tata motors."

Stating the company's investing in hydrogen fuel cell vehicles , he added "we are investing in hydrogen. And also we had got order of 15 vehicles from Indian oil. We had a tremendous work going on in hydrogen fuel cell area."
