Gudalur: The Mettupalayam Coonoor-Ooty mountain train service, which was suspended due to the second expansion of Covid, will resume from Monday. The service meets Covid standards, with only those who have reserved a seat in advance will be allowed to travel. The Mettupalayam workshop has been checking the performance of the engines and bogies which had been stopped for more than four months. It was completely discontinued on April 20 last year. The authorities have decided to resume the mountain rail service with the increase in tourist arrivals.
