Dubai: The BCCI introduced the all-new 'Billion Cheers' jersey for the Indian team ahead of the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman. Team India unveiled the new jersey on social media featuring skipper Virat Kohli, along with the likes of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.
The all-new 'Billion Cheers' jersey is dark blue in colour with the zig-zag print representing heartbeats and has a faded blue in between to differentiate it from the main colour.
As soon as the kit partner MPL Sports and the BCCI shared the images of the new jersey on social media, it went viral and invited various reactions but mostly it was positive as the Indian team now have done away with the 1992 World Cup-themed retro jersey as the fans were desperately waiting for a new kit before the showpiece event.
Not just social media, the new jersey was all over the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai Wednesday evening.
In a video shared by the kit sponsor, MPL Sports, the new jersey was showcased on the Burj Khalifa in some style as first the tricolour of the Indian flag appeared, then the jersey, then Virat Kohli's 18 No jersey and Rohit Sharma's 45 No jersey and finally the Team India players appeared wearing the jersey.
