Newdelhi: On the very first day of the Winter Session of the Parliament, the Lok Sabha today (November 29) passed the Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021. The bill was tabled by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and was passed by Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla amid ruckus by Opposition leaders.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 2 pm today. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that his Government is ready to answer all questions and said that the benchmark should be how the House functions and not how it was disrupted.
"This is an important session of the Parliament. The citizens of the country want a productive session. They are fulfilling their responsibilities for a brighter future," PM Modi said.
